Due to the dire situation of environmental pollution in the country the life of the average Indian has been reduced to less than four years. Scientists at India's most renowned cancer institute are surprised to know that almost half of school going children in Delhi are in a state of irreversible lung weakness. The levels of dangerous and toxic pollutants in air, water and soil have gone above the safe limits. Some old practices like heavy industrialization, urbanization and burning of agricultural waste have contributed equally to the pathetic condition of the environment in India.

Factors of environmental pollution:

1. Air pollution:

New Delhi, the capital of India, recently made global headlines when it turned into the top 10 most polluted places on earth. 4. Noise pollution:

Noise pollution is another burning issue of modern India.
